Spokane County deputies searching for suspect who stole truck, property, purse

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - The Spokane Regional Auto Theft Task Force is looking for a man suspected of stealing a truck and a purse from a woman who was in the process of moving. The stolen truck was filled with property including the purse which had credit cards, ID, checks and money. The truck also had tools, a small gun safe with a pistol locked inside and miscellaneous other property of value.

Former NAACP President Phil Tyler announces run for City Council President

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane activist, and former NAACP President Phil Tyler, announced Tuesday morning that he plans to run for Spokane City Council President in 2019. Tyler posted on his Facebook Page a quote from John F. Kennedy: "One person can make a difference, and everyone should try." He also included a campaign slogan, “Positively Spokane”.
